I advise Japanese and international emerging companies and their investors on venture capital financings and strategic cross-border M&A transactions, with a focus on the technology, life sciences, and financial services sectors.
Being a US M&A lawyer by training and qualification and having practiced in both New York and Miami in addition to Tokyo, I have a deep understanding of the US legal and business landscape as well as the intricacies of corporate Japan.
Fully bilingual in Japanese and English, I engage seamlessly with clients and other parties between both languages, bringing a multicultural perspective to achieve commercial outcomes in cross-border corporate transactions. For clients, this means access to a trusted advisor who can manage the complexities of international transactions with ease, leveraging strong US and Japan connections to facilitate successful outcomes.
Outside of the office, I enjoy collecting MLB bobbleheads (I majored in and worked in sports business prior to becoming a lawyer), air travel anywhere (particularly Bangkok, Thailand where I grew up) and working on my Letterboxd profile.
