Webcast — Access Denied — Navigating the New DOJ Data Security Program With Confidence

Latham’s team of lawyers focusing on data security and national security examine DOJ’s DSP and its potential implications for companies.

Please join our highly ranked, interdisciplinary team of lawyers focusing on data security and national security for a timely and practical video event and on-demand training series exploring the new US Department of Justice (DOJ) “Data Security Program” (DSP) and its potential implications for companies.

The initial “grace period” exempting US companies that demonstrate good faith compliance with the DSP (effective as of April 2025) expires on July 8, 2025. Major compliance program burdens, which require extensive and novel written policies, procedures, and cybersecurity measures, come into effect in October.

Drawing upon months of in-depth DSP analysis and counseling experience, as well as deep government, cybersecurity, and transactional insights, we will examine key elements of the rule in an innovative video series. We’ll begin with an overview of the government’s paradigm shift around access to sensitive data, followed by one of four breakout sessions exploring different facets of the DSP, which viewers can select based on their interests. All breakout sessions and the overview will be available in the on-demand version after the initial broadcast.
